The true meaning of Christmas is...GETTING THE BEST DEAL EVEN IF IT MEANS YOU HAVE TO STAMPEDE SOMEONE TO DEATH TO GET IT?

I realize that we live in a very materialistic society, and that Christmas, along with so many other holidays (Valentine's, Easter) have focused more on "stuff" than on "substance".  And in the last few years, ever since the "early bird shopping deals" have set the standard for "Black Friday", the meaning of Christmas has diminished even more so.

Black Friday to me now has a different meaning.  Black Friday = mourning, sadness, loss.  I have never participated in it and never will care to, especially after reading the article above.  It's not that this is the first time someone has been trampled and either died or injured; but, ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Christmas is NOT about stuff.  What are these people teaching their children about the meaning of Christmas?  Do the people who trampled the Wal-Mart employee feel ANY remorse?  Have they learned their lesson that stuff is NOT more important than a life?  Will they change their ways, recognizing the true meaning of Christmas?

I fear they will not.  And that is heart-breaking.
