I took this from today's reading:  

God is the essence of our being.

However we regard Him, or even if we do not recognize Him at all, He is always there, within us, within every thing and every person in the universe, constantly available for our help if we are willing to accept.  How well we use the consciousness of God in our daily lives depends not on Him, but on us.

Today's Reminder

I have observed that those who make the best progress are those who readily accept the help of a Higher Power.  Once they can do that, it is easier for the to Let go and Let God, and their problems resolve themselves in a way that passes human understanding.  "Lord, thou has been our dwelling place in all generations."  (Psalms)

This reading was good for me today mainly because I take my will back ALL THE TIME, probably a million times a day.  I think I know better than God sometimes 'cause I'm human and that's our nature.  And sometimes, I think I know the better path for me to take even though it always turns out that no matter what path I take, my Higher Power definitely knows how to keep steering me.

The only thing is that I can readily accept my Higher Power's help...it's a matter of paying attention to it and the message within His help that sometimes eludes me.
