A Simple, Sweet Christmas with My Love

Tonight, my husband and I celebrated our Christmas with each other. We stacked the gifts in front of the fireplace, put a log on the fire and began exchanging our gifts with each other while Christmas dinner was cooking.

It is not the simplest Christmas we've ever had (that was three years ago right after my mother-in-law passed away from cancer). But it was a very sweet Christmas with each other.

It made me grateful that I am married to the best man on the planet, the sweetest, most loving and willing man on Earth.

Even though this started out as a strange and sad holiday season (starting with my Granny passing away on November 2), and even though Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were pleasant but a little awkward and odd, this has turned out to be one of the best Christmases ever for me.

I got to spend time, really great quality time, just being with my husband. I was reminded again and again of the things I love the most about him.

THAT'S a very, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
