Buddha on Compassion

Our sorrows and wounds are healed only when we touch them with compassion.
-- Buddha

If we have no compassion for others to heal and for ourselves to heal, does that mean we have no soul, no mindfulness that everyone is flawed and deserves the chance to change, to start anew, to heal, refresh, renew his or her spirit and soul?

Those with no compassion for fellow humans being flawed and trying to heal themselves simply means they do not have the capacity to imagine another person's journey.  Those people do not have the capability of being mindful of others' obstacles and struggles on their journey, their willingness to recover and make amends.

The very people that show no compassion for another's struggles and their willingness and actions to get better are the people that actually need the most compassion.  But they cannot give away what they lack the most in and for themselves.
