Have you ever forgiven a friend for a morally heinous transgression only to not be forgiven by that same friend for doing something that, by comparison, may set the friendship back a bit with a "cooling off" period, but is nothing like what they have done to you in the past?
I find this odd, disturbing, unsettling, and it leaves me pondering this: maybe the friendship wasn't a truly sincere, genuine friendship after all.

Jeez, that's tough. When I've had break-up of friendships most of the time I'm willing to work on it and for whatever reason they are not. I'm really direct and I've heard that puts people off. Sometimes, you're right, it ends up not being a genuine friendship. Regardless, or reason it feels pretty painful and unfair. Hang in there.
